After visiting Franklin at the CTExpo last week, I have learned a few interesting things regarding their immediate future.

They have completed the reconfiguration of their IP telephony product and it should ship this week. (I will explain the technical details if there is interest.)

Franklin is meeting with a Los Angeles based private company called Telephony Experts (TE). TE is the makers of Talking NT, one of the best billing systems for use on callback switches and private communications networks. I feel Frank Peters will buy TE without blinking.

While talking with TE at the CTExpo, I learned that Global CT&T Telecommunication (GLC on the Vancouver Exchange) was responsible for getting TE and FTEL together. GLC was looking for a billing system to use on their proposed long distance network. The GLC (IP based) long distance network will be built using Franklin's hardware.

Although I have not been happy with the direction that FTEL has taken in the stock market, I am excited about their future.
