Marc, >I nominate you TA rep for this thread. You provide good insight in movement trends. What does the low volume represent to you for AMAT over the last few days? Accumulation or selling on the rally?<

I can not take credit for my appraisal. Tom Dorsey, with his process it the one to be credited. The Point and Figure site with P&F Madness, Tom Dorsey's intern, and the Tom Dorsey site Dorsey Q & A site are excellent sites to as questions.

I only reflect to this site the raw data and at times add my two cents. IMO, usually, when there is a lower price movement with low volume I do not worry. I watch the stock very close and have excellent discussion with others on this site considering the pull back as a potential buying opportunity.

Those of us on this site in 1996 remember that stock pulling back from $60 to the $21.625 area for a 64% decline. Such a decline at this point from $54 would be $19.50. If it would reach this point I would borrow and beg to get $$$$$$$ for more shares of AMAT.

Pull back, IMO, are times to buy additional shares. We all know that the Semi's can swing 100-200% in 9-12 months. I bought at $26.625 (13.3125 post split) presplit in 1996.

Just think if individuals would have bought at 26.625 and sold at $100 they would have made 275.56% within approx. a 14 month period. It becomes even better if you purchased at a lower rate and sold at the higher rate.

AMAT is an excellent stock but stockholder can hyperventilate. Semi's are volatile.

Just my thoughts.
