Inter-Tel's Vocal'Net IP Telephony Gateway Named Product of the Year
by CTI Magazine

PHOENIX, March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Inter-Tel, Incorporated (Nasdaq: INTL - news) has received another top industry
award from one of the leading trade publications for its Inter-Tel Vocal'Net IP Telephony Gateway. CTI magazine honored
Inter-Tel's Vocal'Net with the distinguished ''Product of the Year'' award in its February 1998 issue.

After evaluating hundreds of products, CTI called the Inter-Tel Vocal'Net IP Gateway a product, ''that excels at what it
does.'' As a ''Product of the Year,'' CTI considers the Vocal'Net one of ''the best computer-telephony integration products
available.''

''With nearly 30 years of telecommunications experience, Inter-Tel has developed a thorough understanding of the IP
telephony industry. Our insights gained in the telecom marketplace have been incorporated into every aspect of this product's
development,'' said Tom Parise, president and chief operating officer for Inter-Tel. ''The numerous awards we have received
for our IP telephony products lend tremendous credibility and validation to our goal of providing application-driven,
software-oriented products with our customer's needs as the foundation.''

Using Internet protocol (IP), the Inter-Tel Vocal'Net gateway serves as a bridge between the Public Switched Telephone
Network (PSTN) and an IP data network. The Inter-Tel Vocal'Net takes a voice phone call, converts it to data and sends it
out over an IP network. Another Inter-Tel Vocal'Net at the other end collects the packets and converts them back to a
full-duplex call. It enables organizations to communicate full-duplex over IP networks, such as the Internet or private company
intranets, for potential savings compared to standard long-distance phone service.

Through an alliance with Motorola, Inter-Tel has begun development of an H.323 interface for interoperability between
Motorola's VIPR family of gateways and Inter-Tel Vocal'Net gateways. Inter-Tel also intends to develop an H.323
standards-based Gatekeeper to handle IP address resolution, bandwidth management, call restrictions, call event monitoring
and call billing. The Gatekeeper will incorporate the Inter-Tel Vocal'Net Call Accounting System (CAS), which manages and
monitors accounting and billing functions for pre- paid and billed calling services. Additionally, Inter-Tel intends to develop an
H.323 standard voice processing platform to provide IVR functions for pre- paid and billed calling card services.

The CTI ''Product of the Year'' award comes on the heels of several other industry awards bestowed upon Inter-Tel for its
Vocal'Net IP Telephony Gateway. Computer Telephony magazine celebrated the Vocal'Net with a ''Product of the Year''
award in its December 1997 issue. The ''Good-as-Gold Gateway,'' as the article title expressed, rated it as the ''best overall
corporate IP Telephony gateway.'' The Vocal'Net was also awarded an ''Editor's Choice Award'' from CTI magazine in
November 1997. That award praised the design and functionality of the Vocal'Net gateway, as well as Inter-Tel's
contributions to the advancement of the Internet telephony industry. Other awards earned by the Inter-Tel Vocal'Net gateway
include the best of show at Computer Telephony Fall Demo 96 and Computer Telephony Expo 97.

Inter-Tel will be exhibiting the Vocal'Net IP telephony gateway at Computer Telephony Expo at the Los Angeles Convention
Center March 3 - 5 (booth 1643), Internet World Spring at the Los Angeles Convention Center March 11 - 13 (booth
7433), MicroAge Solutions at the Phoenix Civic Plaza March 27 - 28 (booth 1718/1619) and Voice On the Net Spring at the
Fairmont Hotel (San Jose, CA, booth 28).

Inter-Tel is a single point of contact, full service provider of digital business telephone systems, Internet protocol (IP) telephony
products, computer telephone integration applications, voice processing software and long distance calling services. Inter-Tel's
products and services include AXXESS and Inter-Tel Axxent digital business communications platforms, the AXXESSORY

Seth, I did not mean that has a barb by saying I would put some of this information in valuespec.com. I won't include your quote as you requested.

I'd like to discuss some of the points about FTEL- IF you want to.

I felt it educational to learn more about the marginability of stocks, etc. Maybe now we can discuss the "Listability of Stocks" in the National market or some other point the thread would like to put forth.

All: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Why the hell do you guys bother responding to this jerk? I am
starting to get as pissed off at the people that keep responding
to him as I am at the instigator himself.

Please, stop wasting space here with your responses. The only
responses that I believe are worthwhile are the ones that Martin
has posted....in response to some of the bad info the loser spreads.

Face the facts....this guy is a hemmoroid that won't go away. Stop
responding to him PLEASE, and at least I won't have to see
20 notes from this asshole everyday. He likes to annoy you guys,
HAVEN"T YOU FIGURED THAT OUT YET? Sickening, but thats how he
gets his kicks...since he can't make any money.

I don't mean to sound rude, but I am really getting sick of all
this banter.

(edit - Seth: not solely directed at you...sorry)
