Moonray,

The lemmings are coming the lemmings are coming. If only they can find a cliff to jump off of in Ca.

All babies must be thrown out with the INTC bath water.

I just wish I could see these things coming. I look around the threads and see how everyone has sold their techs and are 100% cash before the INTC announcement.

I feel dumber than a stump. Once just once I'd like to be ahead of the crowd. Here I sit with my COMS, INTC, CPQ, LSI, and AMAT calls which were all doing nicely today. Certainly is lonely sitting at the bottom of a bear pit, but with a last name that starts with Z you kind of get use to it.

Good luck to all you longs who are 100% cash, I'd appreciate it if you would fill me in on the next buying opportunity if I have anything left to invest with.

Anyone interested in some cheap CALLS :-) free to a good home!

Al

Actually I'm on the Suwanee River a top a beautiful spring surrounded by 8000 pristine acres of virgin timber...untouched or unspoiled by the greedy hand of man. The only problem I have is this demonic machine that seduces mankind into a religious cult of unredeemable activity that seems to be endless in its ability to pass time in the most meaningless fashion...the nerve of it to tell me my stocks are going to be down tomorrow....

Moonray:

Saw in Briefing.com that INTC explained away the GM decline saying it was entirely, repeat entirely due to the Chips & Tech. merger. If so then here just went my entire cheapPC theory down the toilet. If their MPU GMs are holding up that means the revenue shortfall must be due to weaker unit demand. And that's what they said! And that's not a good thing for all concerned. Still what about DELL's forecast????

(Come to think of it I wonder if their forecasts last Q excluded the Chips & Tech. revenue and the numbers now include that division's revenue. That would be apples and oranges and would also mean things are worse than a 10% decline would suggest. Of coures they would not do such a thing would they?)

The issue is which of the conflicting signals to believe? I still like the cheapPC theory....
