I think you are joking because I just went to CNBC home page and checked their guest list for tomorrow. Cohen is not among them. But I agree, if she goes on CNBC and says something like that, there will be more than enough bulls (people who are insane) who follow her and buy on dip.

>>WHO WANTS TO BET...
The market will fall about 1% at the opening before Abby Joseph Cohen and Joe Battapaglia get on CNBC 5 minutes later stating that Intel's warnings and the continuing deterioration in earnings growth across the board has caused a "healthy" correction, and the market is now poised to continue moving to 10,000 by summer.<<

Are you crazy? I place bets only in situations in which I believe the odds may be in my favor!:)

As for gurus, I am waiting for the day Mrs. Cohen leaves the driver's seat and takes a seat in the back of the bus right next to Garzely's (sp?). Out of the many people trying to forecast the market there had to be a few that were rightly bullish during the last 15 years. Picking winners after the fact is easy. Reminds me of the monkey which, out of 1000 monkeys, won a coin flipping contest by tossing 10 heads in a row. No doubt he is an expert coin flipper.

To All: A naive question on the "buying the dips" strategy. With most people bullish and fully invested, even on margin, where do they get the money to buy on the dips? Do they just go and get more margin? Do they sell some holdings (probably future winners) to buy the stuff that is dipping (probably future loosers)?
