Brad, it is my understanding that some of ADOT's employees/principals (scientists) used to work for Scandia and/or Los Alamos. When the projects involving light were ended, they decided to continue working the technology on their own. I remember reading this stuff last summer when I started buying their stock, but can't remember where. I can not substantiate this as fact, but the company probably could.;>)
