I think Intel will no longer be such a beloved company as it was a couple years ago. Though computer business is not as strong as used to be, I don't see it drops more than 15 points either, most likely 8-10 points. Remember the stock price is stagnant for one year. You know MOT is a frequent earning shortfall company. But MOT was able to go flat or even up on bad news. Wall Street loves big cap leadership company. This may be only a one time event. Business could pick up sharply at the second half years. Intel may manage to beat the revised number later. Corporation may spend money in other area, such as y2k, or wait to Win98 and price drop of PII. Has someone notice a guy who is doing volume reverse research, a frequent guest on NBR of PBS? I visit his web site and follow three his recommendations last week: buy INTCW(72), AA(86,now 82), short AXP (89, now 91) and make one trade. I get in INTCW when INTC is at 93. I hold my position for only one day pick up 1/4 profit after INTC suddenly drop. Glad I don't trust those snake oil salesman a lot. Got to act quickly and protect myself not to be hurt sometimes.
