I also agree with the Iceburg's assessment. It is exactly why candlestick charts have been so popular for centuries dating back to their original use in charting the Japanese rice markets in the 1700s. The thick part of the candlestick line is called "the real body" and represents the range between the session's opening and closing. The greatest emphasis is put on this relationship as the open and close are regarded as the two most emotionally charged points of the trading day.

Get ready to buckle your seatbelts. Tomorrow's open for all the U.S exchanges are going to be emotionally charged to say the least.
