Lisa: Sorry. I remember your post and I looked for it. However, I was in a hurry and I did not find it. I guess I am just a sloppy reporter. There are others that I probably missed also.

I don't expect anything that big. However, I generally draw my conclusions on a day-to-day basis so my opinion may change quickly. Yesterday's average volume on NYSE advances was higher than the average volume on its declines--even in an overall down market. I expect there will be some quick reaction to any decline. Here is a little trick that I have been using for the past several months with some accuracy. Take the percent move for the markets in France, Germany, and the United Kingdom (FTSE) at this hour and average them--say about 1.3% down. Then check to see how close the DJI came to that at the end of trading today. Sometimes the action in the DJI will parallel the intraday moves in those markets also. Do that for a few days.
