Wow,

ToySoldier, quite a solid performance as your first presentation on the SI thread!!!! Kudos, from Quad-K!!!!!! As I'm not a computer person by trade, my feeling for NOVL is more intuitive (although I still read a lot) and I cannot articulate the types of technologies that they are now rolling out as you describe. That doesn't mean that I know NOVL and current longs can't win! Geez, got to stop those double negatives <s>.

Regards and welcome on board. Are you sure your name isn't Scott Lemon? <ggggg>

ToySoldier:

Bravo:

On behalf of myself and the "believers" in Novell, thank you. You are indeed welcomed to this board, dominated by so many bears and Novell bashers. The relentless attack by the "wrecking crew" on the share holders is non stop and nearly a full time job. A cursory look at the number and time stamps of their posts will reveal how much time and effort they are putting into tearing down our Company and therefore the share holders.

How these people make a living is a mystery in itself, because they certainly are not making money here. The bashing continues, in spite of the recent stellar Earnings, Price performance, Up grades and World wide multiple Product Awards (nine in six months.) Frankly, answering all their claims, complaints, and questions is a full time job impossible for one investor such as this writer. I was hoping to engage in a fair dialogue to enhance my investment knowledge and thus returns. This board has turned out to be anything but that.

Being a serious investor and a believer in Novell's products I am here to stay. Since my invitation to the bashers for a "lesson" on earnings turn around vs a revenue turn around was not answered by the bears and since my limited technical knowledge would not have allowed me to represent Novell's Products well enough, I was going to let the price do the talking... However, your mastery of Novell product lines and marketplace shinning through your exposition makes up for my technical limitation and therefore I consider it "my response" as well.

Welcome again, we the share holders need you.

Regards,

Seren

First Off we use real names here....

I don't know how they do it on AOL but on SI anyone with an opinion worth noting uses a real name.

All AOL transfers, Yahoo additions and numerous other recent additions to the thread lets get one thing clear:

If you will not sign your real name to a post - DON'T POST!

We don't pick "Handles" or "Nicknames" this isn't an AOL chat room for crying out loud. If the post isn't good enough for a full real name then best just lurk - OK?

Now that we have that clear we can get on with this.... See my next post. And use a real name if you bother to reply so I can take you seriously.

Jim McCormack - Yes that's my name - my real name.

Toy Soldier you are right - I'm waiting for you....

I want to welcome you and look forward to our discussions. However you have already missed the point... I want an earnings projection not a debate.

This is about money not what religion is better Microsoft or Novell. I'm sorry but in case you haven't noticed MSFT is practically printing money for the shareholders. Novell has not been so lucky having lost billions in market capitalization over the past three years. Sales are falling 30% year to year based on the recent first quarter numbers.... the shareholders are taking a major beating.

How is Novell going to get back those billions and get back those sales? Save the tech talk for later - go on record with a sales projection by Novell product.

Give me you sales and earnings projections for the next three quarters. Crank up your spread sheet and have at it. Once we get your numbers we can debate the merits of the products if you like but it really doesn't mean crap - all that matters are sales and earnings - what you and I think doesn't mean a thing.

I'm waiting.....

Jim McCormack

PS: I got all those worthless vendor certificates from both Novell and Microsoft too so don't try to impress me with them. In fact anyone who brags about them is insecure about what they know anyway.
