Why don't you crawl back to your AMD thread, Mr Know-it-all. And speaking of cars, your buddy J Sanders will be trading in his limo and riding the bus after AMD's next Q disaster. A lot of Intel investors will be hurt by todays news as will the whole tech sector. Take your spiteful gloating elsewhere and that goes for Fiondella, too.

Ali,

"Have you ever asked yourself why BMW does not use any Intel CPU in the car?"

No, the reason is that almost all products going into automobiles have been dictated to extremely thin margin by GM, Ford, and Chrysler. Therefore, it is wise for companies looking for higher profit margins to stay away from main stream automotive applications except more specialized ones for now such as PC inside your car, navigation, etc. In generic microcontroller market for automotive applications, Motorola is number. Then comes Microchip. These two companies seem not to mind selling these CPUs dirty-cheap, in which AMD is not a big presence either. This has nothing to do with architecture (68xxx vs. x86, Microchip is neither) but strictly price.

John.
