I also see no evidence that PC sales are slowing. If anything, they seem to be picking up. And everyone that I talk to, including non-techies, knows AMD and Cyrix processors and not only thinks they're acceptable but likes them. Other processors are trendy like sneakers.

If I was an OEM and could make $50-$120 more per box by shipping with a non-Intel processor, then I would. Furthermore, the high-end is getting to be a pretty limited market - no company is going to spend huge amounts of money on machines with very incremental performance advantages, especially when those advantages can only be seen with infrequently used and specific applications.

If IDTI gets killed today, then I think it will arise relatively quickly. I really think that the price competition evolving in the marketplace is an advantage for IDTI.
