I am concerned about subtle changes in some quote systems we use. Using no real time, I have noticed the effect these changes can have had on my interest in certain stock. "Island" used to provide extensive rows of bid/ask data not any longer. I seem to have lost a valuable tool. Why? Is too much data bad for us? Who decided this.dbc.com has not offered bid/ask on American exchange stock Is there a valid reason for this? Was it always this way? MOST RECENTLY: dbc.com Lots of bb stock can be found at:dbc.com but none are accessible / recognized from dbc at this time. My portfolios there are riddled with holes! They never used to be. EXPERIMENT yourself, and you will see. Why now, when the pennies are starting to show their stuff? Are they afraid of the market "frothing" into a destructive phase? Question for anyone??? (FROM WAYNE J.) For most stocks , I am able to access a bid/ask prior to the market opening. I believe the term given is pre-market? The only OTC-B.B. Stock that I am having difficulty getting access to this information is FAMH.----Any Thoughts? Thanks In Advance. Best Regards, Wayne J. FOR WHAT EVER GOOD, I FEEL THESE "FLUKES" MIGHT BE EFFECTIVE IN STEERING OUR INTEREST AWAY FROM OR TOWARDS ANY GIVEN STOCK, OR GROUP OF STOCKS. I'm not saying this is the purpose, for there could be glitches. But an understandable "excuse" might be given to us. There might be a deeper underlying reason we aren't being told about when we ask the server "What's wrong". I do not know Wayne's problem, nor He mine until we talk about it. This implies to me they can divide and conquer investors in order to get the results they want, regardless of who they are. Smaller "red flags" can be thrown up for some of us to see while the rest of us remain unaware. This way I think certain stock prices can be baffled or controlled somewhat in the interest of the influencer's "higher goal". News effects our decisions, and is manipulated. Why not the lack of it dispersed in curious ways. This system with interconnected computers we are operating in makes us statistics that can be manipulated. They can collect the data of our inquiries any way they want, and improvise. The Internet is in it's "cowboy & Indian stage and we can only hope the damage they do to us as individuals is for a damned better and well justified reason. Sorry so long and involved. But it's before Market Open: Has any one else noticed changes that are bothering them? And what might you do to protect yourselves as individuals whether it's Pre-market FAMH BID/ASK, or the entire dbc BB quote system that is being denied to a good % of investors at crucial moments.
