International CanAlaska Resources (ICA:VSE) has reached a final
agreement with Royal Oak Mines to assume Royal Oak's interest in the 49
claim (9,520 ha) Timmins/Michie property in Ontario. The company must pay
$1 million in cash and through expenditures on the property by Nov. 14, 2000 to
earn a 50% interest in the property. CanAlaska intends to explore the property
for VMS base metal mineralisation and potential gold mineralisation after
reviewing Royal Oak's exploration results, the best of which returned 0.05% Cu,
0.17% Zn and 0.22% Pb over 16.9 m. (Mar 4/98)
