When I implemented GIFS email, I set up a system whereby we kept a hard copy of all email. This was filed by the sender's last name and made it easy to reference, i.e., if I wanted to quickly review an individual's email history, I had it readily avaialble.

As you can imagine we received hundreds of email each day, and this added up. To my best recollection, the email from Gayle Essary--in his total capacities--exceeded 12 lbs. His personal email was approximately 5 pounds, I believe. Why did I weight it? Because it was a "sore spot" in our sides. We honestly got tired of having to print out so much poundage every day when (we believed)it said nothing; the clerical help we had filing it learned to hate HOT STOCKS, STREET LEVEL, AND GAYLE ESSARY. Of course, back then we didn't realize how much was really being said. We got tired of hearing the "hype" from Essary--almost everyday--and I (personally) was sure the others on his list who were receiving it felt the same!

However, because of the control system set up, we were forced to print each and every page out and file it. Mohamed even approved (and purchased) a faster printer for use in printing out email; it just took up too much time on our conventional printers.
