But did she coerce you to post?

Hello Penny,

You would have been even more proud of Holly if you had watched her in action. Ever subtle and never over powering, she gently - in keeping with her graceful character - enticed me albeit with a carrot on a stick. It was a smooth effort to be sure as I am wary of all attempts to consume precocious time at other threads. But now that I have my feet wet, as I am sure in her wisdom she knew I would find - I am comfortable.
Rest assured that at all times you were represented with utmost professionalism and sharp witted technique. This of course I attribute to the wonderful company she keeps as well as her own innate abilities, which bespeak only the wisdom you had when recuiting her to the thread long ago.

Now about that cherry cheese cake yogurt..... you don't say! I love cherry cheese cake! In fact I love just about any kind of cheese cake.

well, here's to the second of many more posts to come, And how fitting that this one should go to you the gracious host of this most august thread.

With tattered dictionary ever at my side but still unable to save me from too many spelling blunders

Jim

Miss Penni,

You more than anyone should rest assured that no one has to be recruited for the Thread of Rambi. In fact, the Recruiting Department gave up long ago, such was their perceived need or lack thereof here at Rambi, and they have all taken part-time jobs with the California State Department of Fabric Care where they can satisfy their needs for personal, challenging career fulfillment.

Everyone knows that the Thread of Rambi is the sanest thread at SI and perhaps on the whole of the Internet, and that is why people flock here for the light and whimsical discourse of the moment and the warm and genteel comradery. Of course, the most excellent house chardonnays served freely and generously at Rambi help somewhat, too, or so I have been told.

Holly

p.s. I absolutely loved your post which introduced CW to Sir Peter. ROFLOLSTDTD at that one, I am. It was also helpfully instructive, I am sure, in that Sir Peter now knows in advance what to expect from Master Luke in a few years and not be puzzled or alarmed when the time comes.
