Re. Hard to believe that Intel affects international stock markets like this.

The value of Intel dropped $15 BILLION overnight. Much of the investment theory in this market is based on S&P 500 earnings. If the earnings of the component pieces decline, the sum total will decline; and, if the growth in the earnings declines, the P/E valuation model will be drastically impaired. Hong Hong down 4.8%, Nikkei down 1.5% and South Korea down 7%. London is down. S&P Futures on Globex down 12 at 8am. Bonds at over 6% will look safe to some.

jtechkid is right: March can be brutal. Triple-witching less than 10 days away makes for a powderkeg.
