Pancho, I will be shorting today, but not betting the farm. The last stock I shorted after a warning announcement was ETEC. It fell from 41 to 31 after hours but then opened at 35 going to 42 and has not looked back, 52 now with earnings down much more than INTC miss. The market should go down big today, but people are crazy bullish. Market may even go up today.

Pancho- Ford may be up due to a spinoff of its financial unit-Associates First Capital. Ford shareholders will get 1 for 4. Associates is $80+ a share so it may will turn out to be like the ATT breakup in terms of stock prices. I may buy F on weakness simply for this reason and the strong financial position of all the automakers.
