Paul, this fixed income manager from, I believe, Dean Knight Capital, rebuffed the downgrade. He said that the rating was unsolicited meaning the numbers were drawn only from public documents. Also, the debt compared to other US companies with similar capital structures and cashflows are much higher. He wonders why. So do I. Cantel is trading at a large discount to the other players in the North American market based on similar relavant data. Why? You may have noticed Cantel has appreciated about 40% in the past week or so. The market has stashed this stock, is some respects rightfully so, but the selling has been overdone. It should be back on the index next year as the share price recovers. This company has improved it's margins dramatically on the cable side and is now doing a restructuring of cellular which will make it the most competitive in the industry. The share price does not reflect this. One day it will. I look at this stock as a longer term value play....
