Paul,
Don't feel bad...they laughed and joked at TA when I told them Intel would pull back when it hit it's 90,3 Bollinger Band which was 95.88. Well, Intel hit 96 and the rest is now history...
Like the genius said here...TA has no predictive value. <G>
What's the other one, something like "if the market could be reduced to numbers that all mathematicians would be millionaires"...
Well I hope they are butt slapping themselves right now...he he he.
Jim

Fiondella - Re: "On the level of ideas about how to
invest or when to invest, it is always the same hype hype hype"

And what are your brilliant investment ideas?

You bought Novell in the low $20s three years ago and rode it down into single digits before bailing out.

With at least 10,000 Novell shares, your losses exceeded $100,000!

You shorted Microsoft at $74 - and it ran straight up.

You shorted Intel at $69, $74, $79, $81, $84 and $94 and were under water on ALL OF THOSE prior to the last few days.

So now, as in the past, you proclaim yourself the genius of investing!

What a crock - you're a crockroach as well as a cockroach!

Paul

> Since that isn't good enough for the fools ...

You were short Intel when it was at low 70's a couple of months back. You missed a 25 point rise in INTC in a very short time. This hardly qualifies you to call anyone a fool. Clean up your act.

paul, i would blame pe too much. his advice for the past umpteen years has been solid when viewed over the long term.

as for his intel touts, i don't think he can help himself. he seems to be emotionally involved in technology - easy to do. he's an "old dog," so to speak and isn't flexible nor can he be taught new tricks.

why did he insult you? it is a very old tactic. when you can't counter ideas you attack the messenger. don't feel bad. it happened to god, too. except the consequences were a bit more severe ;-)

that is how i know i've thoroughly beaten someone on the highest level. they ignore idea and attack me. very few people are man or woman enough to admit being wrong.

paul's using q3 to compare to q4 and say i was wrong in comparing q4 96 to q4 97 in saying that intel wasn't a growth company is nonsense. when confronted he either does not comprehend the comcept of seasonality (i think he's probably a wee bit smarter than that, but maybe not?) or he has a big ego and can't admit to 1. diverting the real issue by bringing up the nonsense in the first place and 2. not being mature enough to admit what he put forth was a joke.

some confuse age and/or money with maturity. you are now smart enough not to do so.

don't get mad. short intel at $94 and be happy. bro, YOU WERE RIGHT! just like i was and am about xlnx and altr. don't let people get in the way of your joy. life is too short.
