To anyone who's interested:

I was an NAQ user til last November when I got tired of all the excuses. The product looked great, but without real time quote feeds, it was like having a Rolls Royce in the garage, but not ever being able to drive it because it was always in the shop. I left NAQ/RTT finally because I could not rely on their data and the daily 20-30 minute dead periods drove me crazy. Adding insult to injury was NAQ's constant shifting of the blame--every time they blamed their problems on my ISP, I was miffed. I monitor this thread only because I thought the product had a great look to it and if the quote feed ever improved, I would consider coming back.

Last November, I switched from NAQ to Interquote. I have never been happier. The feed has been flawless. In the 4+ months I've been using Interquote, I can honestly say that the feed went dead perhaps 5 or 6 times, and each time, all I had to do was to make two clicks on the easy-to-use interface and I was instantly hooked back up.

The charting functions of Interquote are not as sophisticated as RTT, but the fact that the quote feed is virtually flawless and non-stop makes up for it.

If you're looking for an alternative, I highly suggest Interquote. I don't work for them, I'm just a very satisfied customer. The software takes about 15 minutes to download. The fees are a bit higher (around $60 a month, compared to $30 for RTT) but the difference, as you know, can be made up in one good trade per month.

Good luck.
