Well unfortunately I hear these things from those guys (like that they bought intc last night at $69.625 which they still claim) but they are hedge fund mgrs - not retail - so its more difficult to track down whether the actual trade occurred. I do believe, however that if you are an institutional investor with large $$$ (over 500M) and have contacts you certainly can get deals that retail cant get. Its obvious thats true just from their returns. Check out the returns from the top hedge funds in Mar/Hedge and you'll see what I mean.

And no, I wont be firing him with a 600% return over the last 3 years.
But yeah Im wondering about the truthfulness of this myself.
