If CPQ and IBM are having inventory problems, it doesn't make much sense to say that AMD's problem is that they can't ramp-up production fast enough to meet demand. If the box makers can't get enough K6 chips, don't you think they would go to INTC for the extra chips to meet their demand? And INTC says demand for their chips has slowed. Do you think CPQ and IBM would rather forgo their sales than buy extra from INTC?
