FWIW, MCI took out a 1/2 page plus ad in today's Wash. Post business section promoting it's internet service compared to AOL:

AOL MEMBERS: Why pay more? AOL - $21.95 MCI - $14.95

Save 30% a month

in a recent online access quality study, MCI ranked #3 among internet providers, while AOL ranked #62.

Plus some other verbage, including you have to be MCI LD customer to get the rates. But they're finally getting the word out.

Also, WMT is setting up a relationship with Earthlink for internet service for it's Sam's Club members.
