I have the Korean currency risk and systemic increase in valuation hedged with a long investment in Matthews Korea Fund (MAKOX).

I agree with you regarding the uncertainties in Asia, and that subject is thoroughly discussed on the "real" Asia Forum thread.

Still, given all the recent volatility in Asia, I'm sure there are many interesting investment opportunities out there, assuming they properly constructed re currency et cetera.

The esteemed Professor Beltz of the Hong Kong University faculty has the opinion that Asian countries have been trying to print their way out of their problems with new money. If this is the case the currencies will weaken further as inflation takes hold.

So... any Asian investment you buy will become cheaper relative to the value of the local currency.
