THIS IS great thanks for the super fast response
do i get a perk for the idea ?? just kidding haha :) .... one question though , will global scan screens as they change and come and go troughout the day add up to make the 150 symbols ?? or are you going to limit the TOTAL stocks monitored to a max of 150 at all times no matter the additions/deletions/rotations of the symbols within the 150 limit throughout the day ??

Is there a procedure for correcting data errors? For example, MOT and AMAT have obvious errors on the intra-day charts that render them useless. Among several splits that have not been adjusted are the following:
CSCO-12/17/97
POLXF-7/24/97
WDC-5/29-6/3/97 0NLY
CA-12/1/97?
CS-6/3/97
MSON-10/21/97
PFE-7/2/97
TRV-11/20/97

Paul, This was one of the worst performance days that I can remember with RTT since I joined last fall. Like others posted.. the first hour was stop and go with 10 min periods of no data then spirts. The system didn't catch up for a couple hours. When the feed returned I starred at some glitched charts.

1. If you are swamped with new subscriptions as you say you are why don't you put a hold on them until you have adequate capacity? This is an issue where you have full control and can't blame it on hardware/software.

2. Now that you have a new T1 it sounds like the problem is with 'server bandwidth'. I assume you would kick-off users who are hogging bandwidth... but I get the impression you can't determine who they are or you would have booted them off by now.
-----------

What are you going to do to solve this problem for Friday?

Paul,

If the change will result in good service, then let it be. I will be glad to come back to Sharon, but I will still wait and monitor this thread. However, this is certainly a far cry from what the software and the service had aimed originally, with many days of times & sales, options, indices, and all the things that the software can certainly do if.........(what a big word for two small letters).........the bandwith allowed.

Thanks to you and Bob for fielding all the problems.
