I give significant contributions to charities and other good causes. One of our favorite charities concerns animal welfare. My "one" commandment is "Never do anything that harms a decent person". I don't understand where you are coming from. Are you saying that you feel that your God does not want man to "adher to moral principles", in His presence??? << Anyone who comes before Him, trusting in their own merits, will be bound hand and foot and cast out of His Holy presence. >> I must be behind the times. You are a bit more to the point, Chris. And a good point. I said the same thing to him in polite code. It was not answered, as it pinned him down. Bob Barry, you're probably as new age as they get. New age is old age. About as ancient as the first recorded history. It is the original rule of satan on the face of the earth. I would assume that you know exactly what I'm speaking of, and may even be an expert. You most certainly are not Islamic. You would argue in a different fashion. You just at Atman-ish, I guess, which one cannot even discuss because as we all know there really is no Atman. But as for our most precious Lord Jesus Christ, He is not "a god", separate from God. He is God, but He is also within God, never placing Himself as equal or superior. ONLY WE DO. And often it goes against His words Himself. He was given to man for reason. To change Him in any way from the way He was given takes away the power of the gift. That's why I never do. I just know Jesus Christ, and Him crucified, and as He himself presented Himself in every recorded word and deed. With the Holy Spirit it is very hard to misinterpret anything so simple in the first place. Read the gospels. His life was the Father. His Life pointed to the Father, His death and Resurrenction pointed to the Father, and in the end even in His glorified, Resurrected self He STILL SAID, I GO NOW TO THE FATHER. Since you don't know Him, you don't know the Father either. Exactly as Jesus explained. As one who guards the Lord jealously, and cannot stand to have Him misrepresented or His beauty besmeared, you judge Him wrongly, Bob. And look to the consequences before you continue. And I can assure you that if you turn all your toys off, shut down all noise, and in the still quiet of somewhere as God, the real one, if what I/we have said to you is correct, you will be told yes. In the meantime, I will pray for you. I do enjoy your intellect, but I can see that you will not meet me in the minefield so I will just pray for you from a distance.
