Aw, come on, Sal, don't you want to take the opportunity to explain how I just don't understand Intel? I admit to some mystification here, not that income was down, but that it was such a surprise. Prices have been falling like mad, and suddenly there's a competitive market of sorts, temporary though it may be. Short term, the Covington/Celeron looks pretty lame, nobody seems interested and I saw some roadmap where it would only be 6 months after launch when the low-end PII was supposed to hit the same price point.

Competition is a terrible thing, you know. From a business standpoint, anyway. Rising volumes with rising prices beats rising volumes with falling prices anyday, for the seller.

Cheers, Dan.

Sal,

Is there any company you don't own???

1) Do you still own NSCP?
2) What is your prediction on MSFT this year?
3) You belong in a frat??

Hey, I might quit being a CNE and go back to COBOL/CICS programming.
I keep hearing (rumors) that CICS/COBOL is going to be hot again
because of the Y2K issues.

I got to brush up on my MVS,VSE, and JCL skills ... I haven't
programmed in COBOL in almost 8 years.

I wonder if I could still fine those darn IBM manuals?

BTW, Don't quit school Sal,where else will you find women?
I thought all the women in WV live in the mountains? ;-)
