Byron,

If your target for DELL is 122.5, why don't you sell the
March125 PUTs on DELL right now. I sold them 2 days ago and
collected a nice 4 3/8 point profit (it's in the bank earning
interest right now). If DELL falls below 125 by March 20, then
I will purchas it at 125 (but the 4 3/8 is mine to keep, so my
effective price is down to 120 5/8). If you're thinking of buying
at that level anyway, might as well take the PUT profits right
now.

Mark

Well, perhaps not the last idiotic sell off of this century, but definitely one of the last very very few we will see till year 2000!

> And why do you like LSI, AMD?

AMD, because of their heavy R&D investments which should very soon pay off big time. The information age and Sun's new computing model has opened up a new world that Intel is very much unfamiliar with: cheap client machines that can be used to access the server for information as well as application processing. AMD will be the brand name for cheap PCs depsite the fact that Intel will be invading this market in a massive way very soon! However AMD will be the leader in this area (because they are ahead of INTC), and Intel may hold on to its monopoly of the higher end more expensive machines but its margins are going to shrink big time thanks to AMD and others (CYRX, IDTI, and who knows soon perhaps Joe's micro processor shop)!

As for LSI: Think digital, DVD, and ASICs used in home appliances and regular consumer products. And if you look at both stocks after today's actions you see that AMD actually went up by 1/2 point and LSI stayed relatively stable at what it had closed yesterday. Believe me these two stocks will be big winners of 1998 (eventhough it is very hard to think of them as such at this time)!

And as always just my humble opinion.

Addi Jamshidi

P.S - Seems tomorrow is going to be another great day for shopping (for me anyway)! MOT also just pre announced bad earnings! If you are in shopping mood, while tomorrow will be a great day, in my humble opinion, the best has not yet arrived! I personally will continue to buy little by little as we go forward!
