I am interested in seeing if it is possible to get some clews on which biotechs may be of interest to Lambert before he is required to report them to the S.E.C. Examination of the 13D filings show the following brokers as being used by Lampert.
Instinet
Pacific Growth Inc.
fered Technologies
Smith Barney
Mr.Stock
Vector
Cowen

Block trades are shown on other sites for any nasdaq stock. I suggest that the sudden appearance of the names of one or more of the above brokers may perhaps indicate Lamper interest in the stock. At a minimum block trades in such stocks might be examined for any prior public comments on them by Lampet.

The 13 Ds with the transaction dates, volume, price and broker are a gold-mine of info if one wanted to download the data and sort things such as start and end of purchases;days between purchases;$ volume per broker;total shares purchased in single day;total $ volume of purchases.
While the information to be gleaned has nothing to do with the science behind each company it does relate to one small aspect of his money management skills and may provide insights into what is being purchased prior to the 13 Ds.

For block trades I use nasdaqtrader.com
ile this may seem silly one can use it in a reverse sense. If you think Lampert is interested in a certain stock run the block screens. If none of the brokers used by Lampert appear it is a good bet he has no interest in your stock. I just ran Xoma and it would appear Lampert had no interest as of Jan 98.<g> There was high volume today so in April I will check again.
