Traders (now including DavidG, Larry, RR, Chas, ratan)
Today was one of those days that I had to just walk away from
the computer.
My gut said to short more at 33.5, computer said "don't".
My gut said to short more at 34.25, computer said "don't"
Stocks like CPQ, CSCO, and others were trading at the lows, while
MU zoomed up. As my profits flittered away, the stomach started
getting tight, and....
My gut said to cover at 35.25, preserve the profit, computer said no.
As we close the day, my computer is not expected to give a
buy/cover signal before midday tomorrow.
MU at this moment is 34 5/8, which is about 1 1/8 lower than
this time yesterday. MU remains in the downward channel, the
high end for today, is 35 3/4 on my charts.
I will accept 1+ point a day, anyway I can get it.
Patrick
PS: I did not increase my short position today.

All - just downloaded Telescan charts, and I usually download
most of the current options to see unusual action. The Telescan
charts do not include all exchanges, but it is better than nothing.
About 3:18, there was a 1000 contract trade on the Mar 35 puts.
I frankly never get the right read on the move.
(1) Someone is betting that MU is going down.
(2) Someone is betting that MU is going up and has a 100,000 shares, but hedging for the next two weeks with the puts.
If I had the money, I might do either.
