Anyone know whether the 100,000 share block was a buy or a sell?

Both.

Neil.

It is usually hard to figure out when a large block crosses the tape whether it was a buy or sell. Market makers often, especially when the spread is as thin as with BORL, hide the fact by moving the bid or ask, or both, so that the transaction appears not what it really is. A sell (on the bid) for instance may appear a buy (on the ask) as the ask has ticked down prior to reporting the trade. This happends often with BORL (and NOVL). Only if the stock trends subsequently in one direction or the other one could make an intelligent guess on what really has happened. BORL didn't do bad, today, as it rebounded quickly from the bottom where it started the day. Yet, it failed to break to 9 which is our new resistance. Given the overall market sentiment, today, however this is no real weakness. As usual, the backslide from almost 10 to where we are now was on low volume. Attempts to rebound were, also as usual, on high volume. Isn't this a sign of accumulation? We may however have to retest the support at 8 1/4 if this market continues to feel the jitters (watch out for the job report tomorrow). Ghassan.
