Perhaps part of the plan is to have that CC phone number give busy signals so no explanation is needed. Lying SOBs. In January, I asked Cindy if they made the $1.20 and she said that "I cannot say but management is walking around with big grins and they are very happy".

It came across with them issuing those press releases to suck people in. McGinnis is a fraud, imho. His $1.20 mantra cost his shareholders dearly.

Seems like there are two possibilities to me:

The folks at Eco don't know how to calculate
earnings, and thought that they actually were
$1.20 (Bad).

Or the folks at Eco knew earnings were bad
and were dishonest about them to shareholders
(Worse).

Looks like a choice between incompetence and
dishonesty. I could understand someone
honestly being comfortable with estimates if
they were within a couple pennies, but Eco
missed the quarter by $0.12, and no amount of
spin is going to make me believe that McGinnis
"really meant the FY99 estimates" or some crap
like that.

Still long but considering leaving,

Zach
