Jan, I don't think Diamond is out to flame you. He did mention it is a fair discussion. He correctly pointed out the interesting timing of your appearance and disappearance on this thread. Some of us here do detect some cheering on your part with P&F as a selling tool.

Too bad I know nothing about P&F. But I would be the first to admit, being a practitioner of various TA's, that calling the drillers using one tool is totally insufficient no matter how good the real tool is. I can say this with authority because I am willing to change with time and don't marry to any one TA or any strategy. As a result, I'm more often than not ahead of the curve before things happen. Of course, I'm not fool-proof either.

As to anyone like yourself who only preaches P&F, it is always good to take in many grains of salts. Being correct can be lucky sometimes, as I found out many times. But to be consistently lucky is another matter. Not asking you to change your name, but be prepared to change when the bottom line is really impacted.

Jan/P&F: This is what no sleep and looking at a computer screen does.

Your post said Dorsey wrote:

>New commitments SHOULD be in Oil and Oil service.<

O.K. Jan imagine this...a tired Diamond H heaves his body into his desk chair tries to catch up on his email before rushing out the door, coffee in hand, 4 hours sleep and a bundle of Intel dancing in his head and he reads Dorsey...
"NO commitments should be in the oil and oil service."
At least that is what I thought I saw...especially since it was consistent to the last comment you made on our thread last month.
So off to work I go and read all this P&F stuff at lunch. WHAT!? Are these folks on drugs?

Anyway Jan, sorry, my fault. I guess I misread the "New" for "No". It has been a difficult 24 hours.

In regards to my other comments about the TA stuff and your leaving right after your bearish commentary...don't take it personal like I said. However, to put out that kind of opinion and reverse it almost immediately on another thread just isn't very nice.

I'm sorry, but there is no indicator in the world that can make those kinds of calls. Flip one day, flop the next. That is why I prefer fundamentals for selection and a bit of technical to select my purchases for the long haul. To be jerked in and out of the market is not smart. Nothing changed for the companies we cover here between your two calls. No reason to sell in my book. I know many like to use this method for trading, but I'm just not very good at it.

BB mellow out. I'm ain't pickin' on anyone. We all need a reality check once and awhile. Me included. BTW, I'm still bringing the cigars to our family reunion on that rig next year.
