PnF charting is independent of time. Its patterns should tell us what price to buy or sell, right? It does not tell us when the price will hit certain target. For example, 4 to 5 columns of x's and o's would represent six months, or, a week's worth of price changes. I do not understand how PnF is used for trading options the time-sensitive Options. It looks as if PnF charts are not helpful for short term trading. Yet, several posts here seem to imply short term moves of stocks. How can this be? (Easy to see the price momentum on a price-volume charts and make short term predictions.) Ram
