jim,

Too much TAVA... The Y2k sector took a bit of a hit as well but TAVA and SYNT bucked the trend. This will be IMO one of the few places to be long for the next few quarters...Good earnings visibility and the many will continue to blow out estimates...add a pinch of panic when all parties finally confess in $ amounts the real cost to remediate..I believe the Asian debacle combined with costs associated with the Y2k problem are a one-two punch that will make this an awful bad year to be long this market...My current put candidates/positions are AMAT XLNX STM ALTR IBM AOL. I'd love to see a bounce upward in some of these semi's before initiating puts but I'm not so sure the market will accomodate.
