Walter, *** OT PE charts ***
I bought a membership in 'Investors' Alliance' for $90 per year.
This gets you the program, called 'Power Investor' and free daily
data base upgrades for stocks and mutual funds. The data base
includes fundamentals and can be screened by any criteria imaginable,
even the companies' zip code. You can download a free demo at
freequote.com Just click on 'Power Investor' when
you're there. As a member, you get a CD-ROM with historical data.

You probably noticed that the PE chart does not extend all the way
to the right. It looks like it cuts off at the last earnings report.
Also, I would recommend spot checking a PE point against another
data source. The earnings used are trailing 12 months, I think. The program also provides PE high/lows for several years. Plots of price-to-sales ratios can also be made.

If you want other PE charts, I can send them by e-mail, so you can
see if they are useful to you. The time scale can be adjusted.
