One Lesson I have learned from Novl

I have learned from Novell that picking a turn around very rarely pays as well long term investing with the winners.

$10,000 bucks in Cisco in 90 is worth over a million today.

$10,000 invested today in Novell will be worth what 2005? - I doubt it will be what 10,000 in CSCO today will be worth in 2005. .

GE has reported an increase in earnings every quarter for over 27 years - now if you put 10,000 in GE you have an extremely high probability of enjoying an appreciating stock price.

I'll check for you here in 2005 so we can run the numbers....

Just something to think about. How many turn arounds you gotta pick to equal the slow steady march of GE? You got to bat a pretty good average on the turn arounds to stay in the game. A couple of bad picks and it is easy to fall behind.

Jim.
