Hello to everybody!

I have a question regarding sell stop limit orders at DATEK. I have a stock that unfortunately has sometimes a huge spread of like 1 fullpoint. Right now bid is 32 5/8 and ask 33 3/4(i know it's bad but sometimes this spread shrinks dramatically to normal sizes/that's where i bought it).Question is if i can put in a sell stop triggered at e.g.31 7/8 (price field in the middle of order screen) but put a stop limit at 32 5/8 to sell closer to the ask.I don't want that the yerk of MM lowers the price to make a full point spread on my costs. Has somebody experimented with this kind of stuff? ANy help would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Stefan

Datek customers beware...

When a stock is temporarily halted pending news, your active orders are to be canceled by Datek.

I had SEBL the other days when they announced merger with SCOP. I had limit order to sell but was mysteriously canceled and without any confirmation about the cancellation. When it started trading, I found out my order wasn't there but it was too late. A winning trade turned into a big loss and Datek wanted me to eat the loss myself.

A complaint to NASD has been filed.

Has anyone one had this situation? Any pointer will be greatly appreciated.
