Bob:

<<My most serious question is about how they know yields at 0.25 in Austin yet. If they haven't shipped any large volumes of product, is it fair to assume the yield numbers from Ashok are accurate? Are the yield numbers based on "rocket lots" and the actual production yields are still to be determined? Would those numbers be the same?>>

Kumar's information contains most details I've seen to date. There are still alot of questions and still alot of nonbelievers. That is why AMD is at $21. I think we'll hear more details by April earnings.
In the mean time AMD continues to show strength despite of the weakness in the semi sector. Thus someone is accumulating.

Bob,

"Rocket lots" or "hot lots" should give the same results as when using normal processing. These lots get moved to the front of any product queues at each processing step, data from each step is quickly analyzed and the wafers are moved to the next step. This should take no more than two to three weeks. But, there shouldn't be much other product in the line, since they are just qualifying it now. Also,
I wonder how Kumar got his information, when AMD has stated that they weren't talking to analysts (or at least at analyst meetings).

Pravin.
