off topic: more UPS discussion.

Short sighted true but I suspect many people think the same.

I recently had the pleasure of having the power go out just after hitting "save" on my stock database. I knew there was a possibility of the power failing during critical disc writes, but you never really "know" how much trouble it can be until it happens. Needless to say my database was trashed. Had to delete and reinstall the entire program and rebuild all of my screens, views, and user defined variables. Now I am sure to backup every time I exit the program. Will get a UPS next time I'm at CompUSA.

I agree that APCC needs to keep marketing visibility, because I'd wager that there are alot of people that don't even know such a device exists. ("What do you mean it can keep my computer running even when the power is out?") We had a recent power outing at work. Everyone is upset that data and work is lost, but very few were aware that there is protection.
