Jenna,

I'm interested in following your watch lists, except ...

Where did RCGI, BEAS, BWG and CDG come from?

You posted earnings plays, then your watch list, then you bought at the bell 2 that were on the list and 4 that I can't find a reference about.

Do you have a second watch list that you don't post?

Attempting to learn,

Ira

...BEAS,RCGI,CDG,BWG... sorry Ira. I've usually posted that IN ADDITION to my 1)daily watch lists and 2)earnings watch list I make it a habit of watching 3)'news' stocks (I have both Reuters real time and News Alert in realtime) and usually I include the oil sector as a separate entry at the bottom of every watch list saying for example: If oils are upticking in the morning look at WII, CDG and RON etc. I will be more specific in explaining if the 'buy' is a result of real-time news or off my watch list. I have 2 watch lists simply because I have different kinds of scans and I scan the market once based on companies reporting and a separate group of scans just on the general database of 9,000 stocks. I don't like to limit myself on the 4-5 stocks reporting when I can be trading others as well. It is pretty simple watching a group of about 25 stocks a day. Some of them become invalid quickly due to a gap up/down or just they just languish. (OSTE)

On most days I can make 2-3 really good plays from the list. On a particularly 'down' day, I'm satisfied making 1 play from the list and another one based on "news".

BWG was inadvertantly missing from my watch list for next week but I did include it in the "analysis" portion of it. BEAS is one stock that is in my 'permanent' watch list after it appeared in my earnings plays watch list and it beat estimates. It was upgraded to a BUY this morning and I jumped on it immediately.

RCGI was on my watch list for earnings and it was a buy on Thursday (37 7/8)after reporting 65% gain in EPS.

Ira, it is difficult when I conduct a real-time trading room to post buys that pertain to upgrades/downgrades and momentum plays that come about in minutes. In some cases, I'm out of the stock within 1 hour or less. I try to post the buys (I posted the prices I would enter NTLI, NMGC and SELAY)and I try to post entry points on the other earnings plays, but posting SI is no substitute for the trading room.

I would pay attention to the "watch lists" in the future and anything pertaining to the buys off the list. There would be no reason to pay attention to buys based on real time news unless you have instant execution and are prepared to sell within a relative short time.
