Thanks for the tip on the CD; its certainly reasonably priced as long as you can do without your daily QP fix :^)
(As I mentioned I need to copy the files for additional computer use anyway, but I'm glad to hear about the CD.)

Have you written any custom scans that you'd miss if they were lost?
If so, at least consider copying those to a floppy now and then.

Some folks say you should backup everything regularly. I've always thought that it's easier to reinstall programs and OS. But I do have some data that I'd really miss if it was lost.

Everyone can make their own decisions on the tradeoffs of risk of data loss vs. cost and time to make backups. I just wanted to remind some who may not have thought about it, that there is a risk, however rare.

As Quotes Plus says, happy trades to you!

>>Since Qplus makes a new historical database available for $10 plus shipping<<

Herb...

Butting in on your message to David. This comment interests me. Is this the way you get new histories from Q+? What I mean is this, if I see a stock that I don't currently have on my database, but want to start watching it, is this the way I add it (and its history) to my files? And, does it come to me via snail-mail?

I often add 3-6 new symbols a week. I sure hope this isn't the way I would have to do it with Q+. Now, I just add the symbol to my data files, tell my supplier how much history I want by clicking on the years I want, then send it in. In a few minutes I can be looking at a new chart.

Thanks, Ken
