Correction and Clarification

TO ALL:

CORRECTION:
In my post to Ed Fishbane, #5327 on 5/5/98, I mistakenly quoted the ore pile as 250,000 tons as opposed to 500,000 tons as previously reported. Simply an error!

CLARIFICATION:
In the letter to Mr. Fishbane I said " Taking this statement and your assumption that this translates to $1,200 per ton of head ore, that is still 4 ounces of gold equivalent per ton. Are you saying that you would be unhappy if had 250,000 tons of only 3 gold equivalent ounces per ton sitting on the surface waiting to be refined? I don't really think so."

THAT IS WHAT I SAID! Please note that I only said that I did not believe that Mr. Fishbane would be unhappy with 3 gold equivalent ounces per ton sitting on the surface waiting to be refined. NOWHERE DID I SAY THAT I THOUGHT THE ORE WAS WORTH LESS THAN $1,200 PER TON and if fact I stated that "FRANKLY NONE OF US KNOW WHAT WE WILL GET OUT OF THESE FIRST 1031 LBS. OF DORE BARS AND I REFUSE TO GUESS."

I consider myself to be fairly articulate and direct. If you read what I say, you will know what I mean. Please extend me the courtesy of not reading other things into what I say.
