Gennaro,

The calculations for the 1997 EPS was made based on the average number of shares outstanding for the calendar year. That would have to be slightly over 20M, since we've been told the net for last year was in the neighborhood of $2.2M. The 20M which was outstanding at the end of September grew to 40M now. It would appear the bulk of the "new" 20M came in during January and February.

Of course, that means the 1998 EPS will be based on 40M shares outstanding. But the revenue will be much greater as well. The number Ira projected (.25 to .30 EPS) for 1998 would be based on the 40M number, meaning he is expecting an after tax profit of $10M - $12M.

Be careful out there.
