I posted something on this a while back, can't find it quickly now. But last July, DELL hit its high of 172 on the 7/25 Friday morning of the split, fell to 162 in 30 minutes, and closed at 162. Monday 7/28 after the split, it hit a low of 77 (154), recovered to 85 (170) by Thursday 7/31, and was back down to 75 by 8/11. It didn't exceed its pre-split high of 86 (172) until after the earnings on 8/19.

Bit different here, we've had the earnings, and we've already been knocked back by INTC, so your 72-73 on Monday is not out of reach, absent any bad news.

136 3/8 and climbing at 12:50 EST, this run is starting about an hour earlier than I expected....may be over before the close! Fasten your seat belts!

RLM: After all of the INTC turburlence, DELL is performing very well right now. Looks like it could close well above $140, today. I think your estimate of $72-73 on Monday is doable. Weeks ago, without the INTC news, I estimated $75 for Monday's close. I think we're back to a nearly complete absorption and discount of INTC's warning.
