From CBS Marketplace:

<MCI targets AOL price with with ad effort

In its second Web-focused marketing effort in less than a week, MCI Communications (MCIC) today announced a national advertising campaign to support its $14.95 a month flat rate Internet service for its long distance customers. "Why pay more than you have to?," said David Trachtenberg, MCI executive director of brand marketing, referring to the recent price hike to $21.95 monthly by America Online. . Last Friday, in another Net marketing move, MCI began offering nine cents a minute long distance service to people who signed up on its Web site.>

The thing I think people are missing is that AOL new subscriber growth may suffer because of the price hike, and not so much for people dropping the service.

Mr Bald Man,

How are you and your blonde beauty doing these days? Forget AOL. This baby moved over 5 pts. I won't mess with this one again. Maybe the biggies are reading my posts like you said. I give up!!
