Bull case:

The news out from AMD a few days ago is nice. Now they will have lots of extra cash so they can continue cranking out x86/socket 7 chips. They are planning
to raise about 1 billion by selling more stock.

A number of sources still claim that PC demand is not waining , just an inventory adjustment & lower ASP for intel right now. Step back & ask yourself , why would PC demand be weak , more users than ever & cheaper PC's than ever.
In the not to distant future a home PC will be needed for any & all high school students. Even lower income families will shell out the 500 bucks to get a home PC on credit.

IDTI continues to move toward higher margin markets.

Intel can not sue IDTI based on the Winchip design because they use a substantially different approach.

There will not be a glut of x86 CPU's because few if any companies are able to physically produce them at a profit. IDTI will be one of the profitable manufacters .

Bear case :

Lets hope Tom Kurlac is not right claimng that semi-companies will see new lows this summer & fall. IDTI would certainly be dragged down also. Lets hope that no PRODUCTIONS problems surface at IDTI. That would be a big bummer
a la AMD. Lets hope the c6+ comes out up to snuff & is easy to produce. Lets hope IDTI is successful at its continued move to .25 micron production & down the road to 12" wafers as well.

Pick a side or go to 100% cash.

PS. I find it hard to state the bear case adaquately , & boy yesterday was scarry.

<<Good luck on your strategy, and I wish you the best.>>

Thanks for wishing me good luck, I need it.

The other strategy that is valuable, is do the opposite of
what I do, it usually well very well...

I have to agree with you about the shakeout. What we have here is nearly a two year base;stocks never go straight up.Often times the most powerful stocks come out of these longer bases.Of course what kept me from being shook out was the major buy by an insider on 1/30/98 at around 13 and 5/8's or so.Those 20,000 shares were bought on the open market which makes it all the more compelling.Hopefully we'll be rewarded in the near future all IMHO.
