Mark the tough question is always, what will it be on expiration day? You could make a little money at a time but you may miss the home run. VVUS could surge upward on some good news which should come soon. good luck jerry

Unfortunately, an overzealous management inadvertently caused
the Vivus stock to drop dramatically in the 4Q-1997. It occurred
when they announced lower production and plant close down for
routine maintenance. Prior to that the expectations were high
and the investors got disappointed at the news.

In my opinion, had Vivus produced at a more moderate level of
say 500,000 units per month in 2Q and 3Q, the 600.000/month
production in 4Q and today would seem impressive. That being
the case, the shares IMO would still be above $20, regardless
of a Viagra approval.

Normally there is nothing wrong in trying to produce at max
capacity and boost earnings for the benefit of the company as
well as the shareholders, but ironically in this case it
backfired for the investors. However, if anything, things
have in the meantime changed to the better and the stock will
work itself back up from here. One thing is for certain, it
is dirt cheap right now if we can just keep the shorts from
continuing to short.
