FYI,

My in-laws dropped AOL two weeks ago due to the rate increase. A week after they dropped the service they got a call from a rep at AOL who talked them back into the service. I believe the got six hours for $4.95 per month, charged by 90 minute intervals after that.

The rep had all their usage history and told them they were the type of customer they wanted to keep because they were not a business and used the service during non-peak hours. The rep works out of Atlanta and just calls people that dropped the service.

I don't know what it means, if anything.

Best of Luck.
